We took the kids to the Maritine Museum at Basin Harbor, to visit the Alpacas, fishing at Fern Lake and swimming at Lake Dunmore. We experienced a few very memorable firsts for our little boys- their first fish ever caught and the first chance to watch and catch fireflies. “What a restful week! We biked the rail trail in Burlington (20 miles), hiked the long trail in the Middlebury Snow Bowl area (straight up + straight down); rode bikes around the trail around Middlebury- very tough on a bike, and finally hiked Wright Park/Otter Falls section of the TAM (much easier on foot than on bike). In between we ate great food, relaxed, listened to Presidential debate #1 and watched birds around the lake-side. Great place!” - - - Radnor, PA & Ipswich, MA - September, 2008
“This home in front of the lake made a wonderful honeymoon! We listened to the music while cooking and eating, it was very memorable. Especially with the sun setting on the lake and the sunshine on the mountains. We took a drive to Ausable Chasm. It was very unforgetable, we would definately recommend it. The kayak provided made a wonderful, peaceful and beautiful time spent out on the lake, enjoying birds out on the water. To warm up we cuddled in front of the fireplace and enjoyed each others time. We played the board games, we had a blast! Despite the tourist attractions being closed for the season we had an incredible experience. Thank you so much for providing a get away.” - - - PA - October, 2008

“We really enjoyed the house with everything we needed. The power went out and the owner helped us to deal with it. If you get a chance, go to the Black Sheep Bistro in Vergennes for dinner- what a treat. The kayak and canoes were great fun on the lake. A hike up Snake Mountain is totally worth the view. We are already to come back in August to raft down the Ausable Chasm- what a gorgeous place.
